Find System Library Folder Mac

Mac

Aug 27, 2018  My Mac system version is 10.12.6 and when I was installing Software Maple2017, it is showing that it is installing inside the folder called: LibraryFrameworks as the attachment shown. But after I installed it, I just can't find it in my Library folder, so what should I do? You just need to do the following: Open the Finder. Go to your Macintosh HD folder (access this from Devices in the left column). Hold down Cmd + Shift +. All the hidden files will become visible. (dot) a second time to hide the files again. The traditional UNIX system directories (/usr, /var, /etc) are hidden by default on Mac OS X, and it is not possible to navigate to them via Finder. Many Autodesk license and configuration files reside in these folders. This article provides instructions on unhiding those folders, to be able to work with them. The system library, /System/Library, stores the base settings, resources, etc that come with OS X. In theory, you shouldn't change anything in here. Now, as for the files inside the various library folders: Most of them are organized by type (e.g. There's a Preferences folder, a Caches folder, an Application Support folder, etc) with files. You can find three Library folders on your hard drive: the one at the root level of your OS X disk, a second inside the root-level System folder, and a third in your Home folder. In earlier versions of Mac OS X, you would have seen a folder named Library between the Downloads and Movies folders in your Home folder.

You may need to access content in the user Library folder to troubleshoot problems with your Adobe applications. The user Library folder is hidden by default in macOS X 10.7 and later releases. Use one of the following methods to make the user Library content visible.

System

Hold down the Alt (Option) key when using the Go menu. The user Library folder is listed below the current user's home directory.

Note: After you open the Library folder, you can drag the Library icon from the top of that window to the Dock, sidebar, or toolbar to make it readily accessible.
